Credit Cards
Major credit cards, such as MasterCard and Visa are accepted throughout the country, in most hotels, restaurant, retails outlets and safari companies. In remote area and service station may only accept cash which is Botswana Pula.
Entry Formalities
VISA
Citizens of most European Commonwealth countries do not required a visa for entry into Botswana.
Visitors should check with Botswana embassies or consulates or their travel agents before departure regarding their visa requirements.
It is vital for visitors to carry a valid passport and sufficient funds to facilitate their stay in Botswana.
Duty Free Allowance
The following articles and consumables (excluding any goods the importation of which is prohibited), declared at the place where the traveller enters Botswana and not imported on behalf of other persons or by way of trade, may be admitted free of duty and, where applicable, Value Add Tax (VAT).
